Everyday I learn about several sites for tracking the spread of #coronavirus and #COVID19. To date most sites talk about number of people who had positive test result from the Coronovirus and death numbers. So far I had not found full data about how many tests have been done at each location. Nor do I have the population data.
Here are a few sites that I use for tracking the numbers.
- COVID Testing Data Shows animated data charts for worldwide testing and associated results.
- World Health Organization (WHO) also publishes worldwide information about Coronavirus outbreak.
- The US Government and CDC publish general information at http://coronavirus.gov/
- Avi Schiffman, a high schooler from Mercer Island WA has been diligently built and run the site http://ncov2019.live/ with global numbers.
- World Of Meters shows drill down information on a per country basis. The nice thing about this site is there are also trends data on a per country and sometimes region basis.
- Corona In USA is a private website that shows geo location (if we give permission) or ZIP code based data on confirmed, death, and recovered patient data.
- Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) provides a simple COVID19 Projections site
- A group of teenagers including my friend’s son in the Bay Area built BACT – a Bay Area COVID-19 Tracker. It provides stats per county in the Bay Area.
Several media companies have removed paywall to allow users to receive Coronavirus information easily. Plus the local public health departments and departments of health from each state also publishes local data.
