Summer Camps are here – let us engage the kids

Summer is almost upon us. You are wondering why I say that. Today is the Eastside Camp Fair at St. Thomas School in Medina. Every year I visit the same with my kids – at least for a quick glance. We are excited to learn about the variety of summer camp opportunities for kids. Sometimes I wonder if we – as adults – can have camps too 🙂

There are outdoor camps that can connect urban kids to nature and beauty. There are brainy camps that let kids play with chess or computers. There are acting camps. There are music camps. And of course there are farm animal and horse riding camps as well. And many more.

As kids get older, most of them want to pursue active research or investigation into topics which may become their life long pursuit. This year I am joining my friend – Mani Vadari – to help organize the SPARK Summer Internship Program. This program is focused on high school kids to help them work with academic departments or small business / startups to explore new areas.

We are getting ready to receive new applications and placement opportunities. Please let us know if you are interested in helping out.
